Sharing More Tatting

I LOVE learning new crafting skills and
I LIVE for new craft tools.
I just have to share my newest purchase, these marvelous handcrafted tools are from David Reed Smith.  The shuttles are east Indian rosewood and
the dual reversible crochet hook and pick is rosewood.

The piece of tatting work is my first useable effort!
As I've posted before I've gone through
half a spool just trying to learn.

Handmade items can be so beautiful when done as well as these tools!

I searched and searched and was lucky enough to find my grandmother's shuttle in my mom's basement.  What a great find! I love it.
Grandma Anne would be so proud.

Recycled paper smashbook

I first started seeing "smashbooks" about a year ago.  I think the idea and the coined phrase come from K & Company.  Similar to the art journals that around for years, the smashbook is a artsy little journal to put your musings in.  I copied the cool description below from K & Company's web site.

Last weekend I made one using my Silhouette Cameo to cut up repurposed scrap paper and junk mail.  I'll keep adding to it, but I thought was ready to share.

The blue sheet is a repurposed notebook divider. The cameo cut it like butter.
